Illustrators, Artists

I'm a freelance artist (painter, printmaker and textile designer) & traveller, currently living between Cyprus, Greece, Canary Islands and Slovakia. 2013-2007 I graduated from Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia. 2010 studied a printmaking See more at Aalto University of Fine Arts in Helsinki, Finland. Since 2002 I have participated in several collective exhibitions in Japan, England, France, Finland or Slovakia. My works were published in American West Elm catalogue or in the Australian Vogue magazine.

Since 2013 I have lived in several European islands (Crete, Corfu, Cyprus, Canary islands or Azores). The reason is that my partner is working for airlines, so we are moving twice a year to a new place. I'm grateful for this experience. My favourite quote is: "We travel because we need to, because the distance and the difference are the sacred tonic to the creativity." To live between different cultures and in different countries with different traditions is my biggest inspiration and it's reflecting in my creations.

Artwork  #1

'Herba Mythologica III'

Technique: Linocut
Year: 2018.

Story: Herba Mythologica is a collection of linocut monotype prints handprinted with linocut press- material. I was inspired by fantastical mythological plants and also by various bizarre plants which I've seen on my journeys around the Spanish, Portuguese or Greek islands where I have lived for some years.
